Phoebe’s 4th!

We had so many different plans for Phoebe’s big 4th birthday party this year, but August is such a busy time for so many friends. So, we scaled back and decided on a backyard princess party on Phoebe’s actual birthdate, August 1st! We wanted as many tiny princesses as possible to make it to celebrate. After all, what’s a birthday party without friends?

Luckily, Aunt Beth and Sarah were able to drive down from Pennsylvania to serve as party hosts. Sarah was a great helper, setting up balloons, streamers and flowers, then assisting each princess with decorating cookies or magic wands, and even cleaning up! (Note to self: Invite Sarah to every party you ever throw.)

And Aunt Beth was a fantastic mistress of ceremonies, guiding the girls through the highlight of the party – the jewelry hunt! Each princess had to find two bracelets, a necklace, and a ring hidden inside a giant bowl of rice! Afterward, the girls dined on cake and cupcakes, peanut butter and Nutella finger sandwiches, heart-shaped cheese, and magic wand fruit kabobs! Happy birthday to Phoebe and many, many more!
